We live in the city, so we’re not allowed to hang our laundry outside. We hang all of our loads of laundry to air dry except our towels and bedding. (I Make your own laundry soap. We have recently started making our own powdered laundry soap with three simple ingredients– Fels Naptha , washing soda, and borax.

Your utility bills will look less daunting and you will be reducing pollution too. . Another tip is to also wait until you have a whole load of laundry to wash; this will be cheaper than running the washing machine for small loads. . You can do the same with lights, when you are out, make sure all the lights are off inside the house.

Finally, I have been able to start hanging the laundry outside this past week. I do a load of laundry every morning in the warm weather during the week. But those minutes prevent the laundry, especially the towels from being 'crunchy'. Do you hang your laundry outside to dry? Not the best set up, but it works for me.
