We will probably be renting a car for our vacation this year. So, instead of trying to cram my hubby, my grandson, myself and all of our travel things into my little Toyota Camry Solara (read that convertible with very little trunk space), I’m looking for a mid-sized SUV to rent for a couple of weeks. Rent by the week.

Save money when you use the Disney Shuttle : If you are staying at an off-site hotel, check out a shuttle to Disney World- to take you to and from the parks. Another great way to save money on your phone bill ! <—-> I was frugal for travel and saved up for a nice hotel. Now that is cheap living !

With a retro gameboard and cards, the game takes you back to when it all began, but you still have to build your houses and hotels and see if you can bankrupt everyone else. You better keep an eye on your money, because you never know when the dice will land you with a massive rent bill to pay.

Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. We rent now and are much happier. People are surprised that we are in our fifties and renting, but it works for us.

When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. I can’t even imagine how many repair bills from plumbers, electricians, appliance techs, and auto mechanics he has saved us over the years. My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well.

After all, coming home to a mountain of bills will do nothing more than make you want to run away again. You certainly do not want to return home to a stack of credit card bills you can’t pay. Research airfare and hotel destinations to find discounts and offers. Doing so can be less expensive than paying for a hotel.

Wild Bill Hickok was marshal there for a brief time. Visit the Palace Hotel & Bath House, built in 1901. then rent a bike and ride a bit. While you are there, checkout the other museums in the 5 star museum district. The Chisholm trail ended in Abilene, and it was the largest cow town west of Kansas City.
