The grain mill was an investment but if you compare the cost of homemade sourdough bread to store bought loaves of equivalent quality, it’s a huge savings. Another, very important frugal win, my very frugal husband who’s a natural saver and set us up for success by buying his first house (a foreclosed property) at 28.

After shopping locally at some furniture stores, I resorted to Craigslist and spent hundreds less on a new-to-her dresser.

When you first hit the baby stores, you will find a huge range of products, some of which you may have never even heard of before. DIY whenever you can; you will save a load of cash.
