Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. My best finds.

Garage sales, estate sales, and moving sales are all great places to look for used furniture. You can also find truly interesting pieces at estate sales. There are usually plenty of used engagement rings for sale at reasonable prices. When we bought our last car, we did end up buying new. Don’t be!
