Ah, recycling. But while (most) everyone knows that you can recycle glass bottles, aluminum cans, newspaper, and cardboard, there are many other things that can also be recycled through a variety of methods. Did you know that Americans dispose more than 700 billion pounds of paper, plastic, glass, wood, food, metal, clothing, electronics, etc. Today, I am going to share with you 8 ways you can recycle, reduce, and reuse. In our house, we use rags for cleaning, cloth napkins, and washable dish cloths. 7000 billion pounds!!!

Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. Clothing Bags If you donate clothing to your local thrift stores , then these bags can help you out. Many times, people use trash bags to transport used clothing, but grocery bags will work as well. For example, you could use one trash bag to haul all of your clothing, or you could use three grocery bags to do it.
