I love, Love, LOVE clothes. I am a military wife and our clothing budget is Spartan, at best. About five years ago, I started thrifting. As a grad student, I had hit a few “vintage” shops but had never really looked to outfit myself or children using resale clothing. Not all thrift stores are created equal.

To me, frugal implies using resources in the wisest fashion and cheap implies a specific focus on getting the lowest price. I use old casual office clothes to work around the house. I have a closet full of work clothes I wore to the office for 20 years, mostly casual slacks and blouses. I hate buying clothes new.
