A college degree does pay more and gives you a much better ‘foot in the door’ with most employers. I went back to community college in the 1980′s to earn an associates in computer programming and worked my way up to Systems analyst and software development manager. Computer service tech – 48.9

I did some research to see what kinds of jobs I could get that paid the most with the least amount of additional training and became a computer programmer. I majored in Psychology (liberal arts), graduating in the early 70’s. I loved going to work each day, making that computer do what I told it to do.

I remember, not that long ago (I graduated from college in 2004) that being in college is great but the cost is expensive. Of course not one person told me, I found that out after I graduated! He gave such wonderful advice for someone who just graduated college.!) That is me talking to him in 2004 in London, England.

I ended up with a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial Psychology – and couldn’t get a good paying job of any sort after graduating! Instead, I picked my major based on the courses I enjoyed – without considering how that major would help me earn a living. I refused to accept offered help. Money Tips'

Starting with your local stores, make up a tour and give it yourself. Talk about what each person is doing, such as taking the orders, entering them into the computer so the people filling them know what to do, taking the money, making the french fries or hamburgers, sweeping the floors or cleaning the bathrooms.
