So I branched out to find a partner for motivation. Posting on Craigslist. I met a great walking partner in the past on Craigslist , so I am trying that route again. I rather not pay $20-$50 a month for the privilege of using sweaty equipment and walking on a treadmill.

We have led 7 sessions of Financial Peace University mostly to keep ourselves motivated. We sold extra items that we weren’t using through Craigslist and garage sales. When you can agree on a common goal then you both be very excited and motivated to get the debt paid off. We sold our house so now we are on Baby Step 4!

Yard sales are great, especially if you have a lot of stuff that you just want to get rid of, but if you have fewer yet more expensive items – electronics, furniture, etc – than selling through an online marketplace like eBay, Amazon or Craigslist may be a better option.
