I enjoy playing the game and I like to win. What’s your best frugal win? My personal best frugal win was marrying a guy who can and will fix almost anything. Being frugal is just playing with numbers – and winning. A third “why” is that saving money is like a game to me.

Between credit card offers in the mail promising great rewards and the ability to borrow money for next to nothing, debt can be enticing. When I was 18, I got my first credit card. As a result, I ended up getting myself into a couple thousand dollars worth of credit card debt on things that I didn’t need.

I made some foolish choices shortly after graduating college, burning through my savings and running up credit card bills. What’s your best frugal win? This might change as my kids get older, but the thought of traveling just sounds like a bunch of logistical headaches and poor sleep in hotel rooms.
