Way back in 2008 I signed up for a Upromise account and then it sat unused for many years. I don’t recall why I never used the account, but I guess it just slipped my mind. Right before the pandemic started, I opened 529 College Savings Accounts for our daughters. Hello, 2020. 108 Months X $72 = $7,776!

On January 25, you might not want to even think about Christmas. Did you use cash or put your purchases on a credit card? It’s so easy to get caught up in all of the bargains that stores throw at us in November and December. A credit Christmas equals: a “how are we going to pay for this” Christmas.

Since we use credit cards for almost all of our purchases, we are paying the bills now for our Christmas presents. As an experiment, I switched to cash in 3 categories : groceries, dining out and clothing on January 1st. I can just hear some readers screaming, "it is 347 days away for crying it out loud".

I use it to treat myself, but you can use it however you wish. Maybe even use to start up a 2017 holiday savings account. Or pay off the credit cards you may have used over the holidays. It doesn’t matter how you use it, just use it. Do you use any other cash back sites?
