The number will most likely not cover everything, but if they decide to pursue options that cost equal to or less than the amount we want to give them, they’ll be in great shape. Becoming debt-free became very appealing and the idea of being able to give more, save more, and live more was the direction we wanted to go. We celebrated both occasions with a family cruise that we paid for with cash. Once the time came, as a family, we decided on a cruise over Thanksgiving instead of Disney. Brain dump!
