The extensive collection had been owned by a “Park Avenue lady who was a patron of the arts, with a penchant for fine hats,” as her daughter Jill put it. The daughter asked that her mother's name not be used to honor the family's wishes. The entire donation exceeds 4,000 individual items spanning 50 years of fashion.

If I did not know them and they were ‘sigh, another celeb in the news’ there is no way I would donate my hard earned dime to a celeb that I would never meet.

As such, it’s up to you to help your kid sort through what they need to keep, trash, and donate. These items will include clothes, some gadgets, and toys.

I left the decision up to my daughter, because I couldn't decide. Also, this holiday season, Edwards Desserts will be donating $1 to Toys for Tots for every Edwards Desserts product purchased during the months of November and December (up to $50,000). Fashion changes and new or nearly new clothing gets sold at sales or donated to charity. It was missing the software, but thanks to the internet, I had no trouble finding a driver that worked. I had purchased a much smaller (less sturdy) one at Walmart for $20 – my daughter-in-law inherited that one.
