Everything in that lunch bag can be washed and reused or at least an be dealt with in an environmentally-friendly manner. For example, most leftover food scraps can even be composted ( other than meat, of course ) so they can be brought home if a school or workplace doesn’t do composting. It’s quite simple, really.

Gift bags and bows can be reused year after year. While they may eventually wear out, reusing them can at least reduce the impact. Reuse Whatever You Can. However, a lot of your disposable Christmas products can be repurposed and reused. If you wind up with too many leftovers, don’t worry!

Plan uses for your leftovers. A good deal on a big bag of fresh lettuce isn’t thrifty if you can’t use it up before it rots. Donate good clothing you really can’t use to a non-profit and bank the tax deduction. Use up your food. With fresh food – buy only what you can eat before it goes bad.

Instead of using plastic plates and cups, use the real deal. They may be great for portion control but they provide a whole lot more leftover trash than big bags. 10 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Recycle/Reuse. They are a whole lot more convenient and much easier than washing dishes. Single packs of snacks.
