Clothing Bags If you donate clothing to your local thrift stores , then these bags can help you out. Many times, people use trash bags to transport used clothing, but grocery bags will work as well. Recycle If none of these circumstances apply to you, you can always recycle your grocery bags.

Do they recycle? Do they use recycled products? This saves on packaging as well as transportation because larger amounts can be shipped in one load. Donate $1 or $2 towards the cause. Plus by buying local, you are cutting down on the carbon emissions produced by food transportation. Recycle, recycle, recycle.

Recycling is a simple and obvious practice that children can easily understand. Teach them how to recycle household items like plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper, etc. You can even let them manage the responsibility in your household and reward with them with the earnings from recycling cans and bottles at local recycle centers.

Use recycled toilet pape r. By switching to recycled toilet paper you can help save 1 million trees a year and 1.35 If that doesn’t work, use public transportation. Recycle and reuse. Save toilet paper rolls and donate them to local day cares. Make sure to check for water leaks too with toilets and sinks.

Donate good clothing you really can’t use to a non-profit and bank the tax deduction. If you can’t afford a car, use public transportation. Darn the holes in your socks instead of throwing them out. Pass down serviceable clothing from child to child. Use up your food. Plan uses for your leftovers. Go Frugal Go Green'
