Fed’s Preferred Inflation Measure Slows in November

The core price index which excludes food and energy prices grew only 0.1%, the same as the month prior. The Fed also monitors the Consumer Price Index (CPI) , which showed a 3.1% The inflation measure was the latest in a string of data bolstering hopes for the economy in the new year. The index was up 2.6% in the prior month.
