I think I speak for all of us when I say that the onset of unexpected rainfall is sooo annoying, but it is perhaps rendered even MORE annoying when the idea of ruining our beautiful leather boots in the midst of it enters our minds. I shudder at the mere thought. Good thing you have your Shuella rain gear packed in your bag! Wait, rain-ready footwear that I can stash in my work bag?

I didn’t take outfit pictures today. You’re not missing much. Can we talk about Wendy Brandes instead? I remember seeing pieces by Wendy in fashion magazines long before I found her blog , and when I did find her blog, I was hooked immediately. She is smart, funny and full of historical information. Yesterday she wrote about her wolf themed pieces and I felt like it was time for me to write about her too.

Remember a few posts back when I created an outfit using Polyvore and found the "Go Heart Your Own City" tee from dELiAs. Well. Great News. I found it for half the price at Forever 21. Yup, good old Forever 21 came through again! Ahh.YES, I know I put myself on a shopping hiatus. and YES, I know I don't really need this tee, but honestly, I just couldn't pass it up.

I never need an excuse to wear glitter (or anything sparkly for that matter) but New Year’s Eve gives me an even better excuse to go out and buy the shiniest accessories I can find and feel no guilt over my purchase…or so I thought. Chain-link accessories are huge right now, so it’s no wonder why lately I’ve been spotting tons of chic chain-link bracelets popping up all over the place. Going with a bracelet (versus a necklace) might also be preferable if you want to jump on-trend but want to avoid a look that’s too hard or heavy. When it comes to a bracelet, the chunkier the better I say!

Sorry guys, quick post tonight. my boyfriend and I are finally going to decorate our Christmas tree! Yay, I am so excited! I love decorating the tree. it is only the 2nd year we have had a tree together (even though we have been together for 5 years) so I like to go all out. I’m not just frugal about my clothing/accessories…that mindset also applies to beauty/hair products so I typically avoid any brand names and go for the basic drugstore items like Pantene Shampoo and Infusium Conditioner. But I got my hair colored (I am so far from a “natural blonde&# it’s not even funny) last Thursday and since that involves 4 hours at Marc Garrison and lots of bleach, my hair can feel super dry and brittle after.

I spent the last two days freezing my a** off in NYC and one thing I noticed is that those city girls sure know how to brave the elements in style… in addition to their sleek puffy coats and bold, colorful scarves, they topped off their look with furry Trapper hats. These cold weather musts were invented back in the 1800s for those of the hunting and gathering kind, but now they’re just what you need to protect your neck and ears from sub-freezing temperatures!

In honor of the Christmas season, I thought it was the perfect time to wipe out my green cardigan that I bought on Black Friday at NY &Co. As you guys know, I fell in love with this cardigan as soon as my eyes laid on it; instantly grabbed it and headed straight towards the register.
