What Do You Tolerate to Save Money?

I’ve a 16 year old side by side refrigerator/freezer that works perfectly, looks great and still fits style wise in my kitchen. Good thing we have that emergency fund because this won’t be cheap to fix. Perhaps you are willing to tolerate an item that works partially rather than fixing or replacing that item.

I have made a pact with myself that if I don’t already own something that I need, I will either: make do with what I have, find said item at a thrift store, borrow, or forget about it. So those new boots I want will have to wait, and besides I have two pairs that will get me through another winter. I think I’ll survive.
