I manage the finances for our business and our family and by August 2013, I felt the weight of the situation. On top of our normal day to day expenses, the new property taxes were due, we had more ownership expenses than we realized, and we had a family to feed. Our business is again thriving. We are communicating regularly.

I learned to save money by watching my parents. (I I still remember saving my change as a kid so I could “shop” for books at yard sales.) Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. Now I wish those dollars had gone into our savings accounts.
