After I had kids, I swapped that time to growing all sorts of interesting heirloom foods in my backyard. Another big win would be taking advantage of our great public library system. Childhood joy.

It is food, so maybe a need. Yes more folks work from home these days and the tax laws encourage setting aside a space to dedicate to a home office. Is it sufficient to be able to go to a library or school or other facility to use theirs or do we need them at home? Is butter a need or a want? I managed with one until I was 30.
