How did you get interested in saving money? At age 12, I started saving up my allowance and babysitting money to buy Christmas gifts for other children who were less fortunate. How did you get interested in saving money? When I got my first job in high school, my parents said I had to save a percentage of every paycheck. As a foolish young high school kid, that rule annoyed me because I wanted to spend ALL of my paycheck, but I still saved a chunk of it because I had no choice. Not really.

Duct repair tape can temporarily repair minor holes until you get a professional out to look at it. CFLs are available from home improvement stores and may be purchased online, sometimes offering you a savings if you buy in quantity. How did you get interested in saving money? I learned to save money by watching my parents. (I I still remember saving my change as a kid so I could “shop” for books at yard sales.) Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity.

How did you get interested in saving money? I was born frugal, into a super frugal family. What’s your best frugal win? Two “small” ones come to mind- my first car & first motorcycle-owned for a while, did a few small repairs & sold for what I paid. As a young 20 something, that felt big!
