Last year, to make a little extra cash, I started boarding dogs through Rover, and I am about to start a very very part time job using my RN license for a home care company. I grew up with frugal parents so it was ingrained in me from an early age. I liked seeing money accumulate and grow, and that has continued into adulthood!

We also grow a large garden & lots of flowers, fruit trees & a 100-year-old grapevine. Now-I’m a single parent who works part-time, cares for my elder mother, homeschools & runs a farm. Did you ever receive any financial education in school or from your parents? This means funds are tight.

The proverbial saying ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’ is used by many a parent in denying some wished for item to their children. Well, kids, your parents lied to you – money does grow on trees. A money tree starts out growing slowly, so small at first that you don’t even think it is there.

I currently work part-time from home, mostly behind a computer. I never really figured out what I want to be when I grow up so I’ve done a lot of different things. Did you ever receive any financial education in school or from your parents? I’m 52. from my neighborhood walk 12.

It’s important to foster this attitude with your children early in life so that they impart these values as they grow. My parents are both in their late 70’s and my father recently was diagnosed with diabetes. Most important is that my parents are getting the care that they need – whatever the cost may be.

When my brother and I were growing up, our parents didn’t have much discretionary income. I learned to save money by watching my parents. (I Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. How did you get interested in saving money? That’s not right.

I’ve been teaching part time for over 25 years. I like to bake and read, and I spend time chauffeuring kids to activities and games. I volunteer at my kids’ school at lunch time and other events. My parents were good at guiding careful spending habits without it being a burden. Here’s MB: 1.
