History In 2006 I planted fruit trees, in anticipation of retiring and having time to pick and use the harvest. I planted them that fall, a dwarf pie cherry, an Elberta peach, a Lodi apple and a Braeburn apple. After snipping, I carefully painted the cut edges with tree paint. Plant blueberries instead!

Empty coffee cans are great for holding paint or turpentine or bacon grease. Mesh bags from Popsicle sticks hold bulbs we dig up and re-plant later to keep them dry until time to plant. Paint rollers are used multiple times at our house. Below is a list of things I (or hubby) have personally saved and reused. Containers.

With the holidays only a few months away I don't want to get caught short on time, money or gifts. I re-purpose them by painting the outsides white using ordinary acrylic wall paint and a brush. (I I paint them all white to create a more uniform look.) That being said, this batch is earmarked for packaging holiday gifts.
