I bought an inexpensive pair of dress pants I have something scheduled where I need to dress up, and…the last pair of dress pants I have is from somewhere around 2012 or earlier. I tried a thrift store first, but came up dry. I fried some chicken recently, and I’d already used the oil twice. God forbid I sit down in them!

Staycations are inexpensive activities that your family can do at home, or locally, that you can all enjoy without running up an expensive vacation tab. To make clean up fairly easy so that you can enjoy your guests, I have found really cute and inexpensive party supplies, paper plates, cups, and napkins at the dollar store. And you don’t have to buy a new ugly sweater, you could either visit your favorite thrift store or decorate a sweater you already own.

We were able to find the cup and saucer at our local thrift store for just a quarter each. Mini ornaments and glitter can be found at most dollar stores and crafting stores rather inexpensively as well. Mix and match a set that works for you, just be sure to get a clear cup or otherwise you won’t be able to see on the inside.
