As it is, I can afford to take a trip to a big city and have a great vacation. Living there would be a different animal altogether and it would take a much higher income to make do. A higher income if we lived in San Francisco or in Manhattan would be insufficient to allow us a similar lifestyle.

We have several weekend trips and a summer beach vacation planned for the year. I think I’ll survive. Choose Thrift First.
