Skip the straw So many places now are banning plastic straws, because they aren't recyclable and mostly just end up in the ocean, aspiring to become a part of that plastic island. Because I love eating at food trucks, but I hate plastic utensils.and there's never anyplace to recycle them (if they even are recyclable).

Sure, there are days when you go out for a nice meal with co-workers or pay for the school lunch on pizza day, but when I think back to my school days I fondly remember those brown paper bags. A better option to use is recyclable batteries. Recyclable batteries are much greener to produce and they can last for many years. Be sure to dispose of recyclable batteries properly. Metal silverware is a much greener option than throwing away plastic silverware after every meal. Plastic bags. Single packs of snacks.

If we all planned our meals properly, ate proper portion sizes instead of cooking thinking our stomachs are the size of Texas, only cook what we can or will eat. Ny taking your own bags, reusing plastic bags you already have or even sewing some fabric bags from old t-shirts and things you can save a lot.
