The old phrase “reduce, reuse, recycle” is crucial when it comes to small, and inexpensive, ways of going green. Many municipalities are starting to collect recycling along with garbage pickup. Some areas even provide recycling bins specifically for that purpose. However, going green doesn’t mean you have to go all out.

Get some shoe polish and shine up those old shoes, take them to a shoe repair shop to have the re-heeled or soled if they are worn down. This used to be a common occurrence with a shoe repair shop on every main street. Learn to hem and patch and sew on buttons to repair minor issues with clothing. Go Frugal Go Green'

You might be able to find one at a consignment shop, a sewing machine repair shop, or ask relatives or friends if they have one that you could either buy or borrow. Use Recycled Fabrics. If you’re on a limited budget and a new sewing machine is out of the question, look for a used one.
