Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle.

She has always reused food containers, such as glass pickle jars or plastic cool-whip and sherbert containers, so I am not quite sure how or why I got started buying plastic food storage containers. Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound. However, there are ways to safely and beautifully reuse/restore items such as beds, sofas, chairs and decorative pillows. Although upholstery material can be very expensive (think $25+ a yard), you can find it on sale. Ways to save on furniture. Six yards covered my chair.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Like me, buy them used and then reuse them each year. Put your unwanted Halloween decorations out for reuse by donating them. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween?

I've tried multiple brands, but I really like Bite , because they work much better than others, taste better, and come in glass bottles that can be recycled or reused. I really like Ulta for travel sizes for my toiletry bag, because they have a lot of things in smaller sizes and often have sales.

Do they recycle? Do they use recycled products? Recycle, recycle, recycle. If you have items you aren’t using, recycle them or give them to someone who can reuse them. Also, be sure to buy recycled products like toilet paper. Shop at eco-friendly businesses. If you aren’t sure, ask.
