As the Family Office Manager , I handle the day-to-day finances for our family and I needed a way to communicate our finances to my husband. Storm #2: 2013. August 2013 was a month that I’d like to wipe from my memory. It was during this time that I created my first Family Balance Sheet. I still use my spreadsheet to this day!

I manage the finances for our business and our family and by August 2013, I felt the weight of the situation. On top of our normal day to day expenses, the new property taxes were due, we had more ownership expenses than we realized, and we had a family to feed. We are communicating regularly.
