Aside from a health concern with one of my daughters , 2017 was a great year, however, I was distracted by non-necessities, so my overall theme for 2018 is to use my time more wisely on the people and things that are important to me. In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018. Our 2018 Financial Goals: Finish our Will. In March of 2018, we had our wills, medical directives, and powers of attorney completed by an attorney. It’s similar to a deductible.

On the 25th of every month from January to November in 2019, I held a virtual meeting on the blog to give updates on our progress, motivate one another, and help all of us save for a cash Christmas. This should cover my tentative 2019 Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018. My monthly savings goal was $100.

M = Make it MEASURABLE. She hit that goal in September 2016.

We ran the numbers of the purchase and they looked great on paper, but paper doesn’t account for a new server, a roof leak, unexpected medical bills, and other calamities. 2018 Update. We started with 5 loans and paid the smallest loan off first, while making the minimum payments on the other 4 loans.
