We didn’t carry over credit card balances, we paid off our car notes early, and the interest rate on the student loan was at a low 2.75%. We agreed that credit card debt wasn’t very smart, but a car loan? There were a lot more fun and purposeful things we could have done with that money than pay the lender.

Found Money in January: $1681. Found money can be found from various sources, such as rebates, refunds, online sales, or even the ground. We think we’ll use the money towards summer vacation. The money is going towards new furniture for our basement. I put down half the money and financed the other half.
