Our gas and electric bills have been smaller since we moved. This translates into lower bills each month, and you are even more sustainable. This has led to a smaller grocery bill, even though food costs more out here. The result has been that we have been able to support locally-grown food, on top of saving money on our bill.

Take Public Transportation If you live anywhere near a small or large city, you probably have access to some form of municipal public transportation. Doing so eliminates car payments, insurance bills, and maintenance costs.

I became a vegetarian 3 years ago, and noticed my grocery bills reduced immensely. Transportation. Buying an electric car, carpooling or even taking public transit all reduce your overall transportation costs 1/2 to 2/3. If that isn’t a win-win situation, then I don’t know what is.

I was an expert at this; I spent every dollar I earned and juggled multiple credit cards to pay bills and buy whatever I thought I had the money for. Of course, by using credit cards for purchases and bills, I was spending money I didn’t have and probably wouldn’t have any time soon. Don't forget to enter to win an iPad 3 here at PET.

Don’t forget to enter to win an iPad 3 here at PET. I mean, I was living from pay check to pay check , always hoping I’d find whatever money I needed to pay the bills. Bills that are overdue – this is a classic early sign that you are in trouble “Robbing Peter to pay Paul.” What about signs?

What’s your best frugal win? This has increased our grocery bill but has also led to major health benefits that I think are worth it. I vowed to never trust my sleep schedule with the Midwestern public transportation system again. (I Essentially, we’re saving up a nest egg so that we have future freedom!

Her dream of becoming a college professor died when her dissertation was not accepted and she did not win the doctorate. Disappointed in herself for not winning her doctorate, recovering from an injury caused by an attack in the service and suffering from the rejection of a divorce, she could not bring herself to look for work.
