I have been using Rakuten online portal for many years and the check that comes in February is usually my highest because it includes cash back from our Christmas purchases and referrals. Yep, I found a $20 bill while running on the beach! January and February were stellar months with finding money.

I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. I made quite a bit more from the 4th quarter of 2020 where I do most of my Christmas shopping. This money was put into my Christmas Savings account. Yep, I found a $20 bill while running on the beach!

The first step in this diligence was paying off debt. We sold the excess.

Miss T, in her post “ Remember, Slow and Steady Wins the Race ” states “After failing [to get out of debt] a couple times, I came to the realization that I needed a new plan, one that was attainable and manageable for the long term. Paying off debt is great but having no quality of life in the process is not the way to do it.
