I’m 47, married, and living amongst the cornfields in a college town in the Midwest U.S. At age 12, I started saving up my allowance and babysitting money to buy Christmas gifts for other children who were less fortunate. I live in a fairly transient town with lots of college students. Definitely not worth the drawer space.

I saw that you don’t exchange Christmas gifts with nieces and nephews on your side. Do you also not exchange birthday gifts with them?
