We also don’t want to come home to a credit card bill. We''ll plan the menu weeks before we leave, so I can do most of my grocery shopping at home instead of our vacation spot where prices are more expensive. Do you really need another coffee mug or t-shirt? Also, by planning ahead I can take advantage of sales.

I’ve added money to the card in all3 ways I was able: by charging money on my other American Express card, by debiting it from my bank account and by purchasing a MoneyPak and adding the funds to the card. I used the American Express Prepaid card just as I would have my other credit cards.

You know you shouldn’t be using credit cards all the time. You shop to release stress, to be someone else, to escape. Send your spouse to do the grocery shopping. When you do need something, shop with a friend that won’t let you go overboard. You aren’t taking responsibility.
