And the first item on the list was a new dresser for our younger daughter. I checked some local furniture stores to check the prices of new dressers. He has no qualms about much.

I stopped by my two favorite thrift stores last week: Salvation Army & Community Aid, a local store. I only go on Wednesdays, because both stores offer an additional 50% off on almost everything. Finally, spring has arrived in central PA, so I carved out some time last Wednesday to hit the thrift stores.

She also scarfed up any other gift wrap that looked usable, and she stored it carefully away for use the next year. While I am not that thrifty, and I love prettily wrapped gifts, I don’t like to spend a bunch on wrappings. My 5 year old grand daughter did it last year in my Grandma Rie’s Money Camp.

We hit our Annual Household Portion (kind of like a deductible) of $10,000 with Medi-Share in 2017 when our daughter had an unexpected medical condition arise that required multiple tests, 3 surgeries, and medication. However, we could use a year of extra thriftiness to find any extra funds to accelerate the $10k. Plan our Spending.
