What We Ate Saturday Zoe and I met up at Panera after her work shift, got some dinner together, and then went home and watched a movie together. ? But I can tell you that the pasta is ALL gone now, so dinner will not include leftover pasta again. What did you have for dinner this week? Friday I don’t know!

As you all know, I typically do my grocery shopping on Thursdays, therefore, that is also the day that I plan my weekly menu. You'll see my grocery photo and breakdown soon.) For my menu planning, I start by scouring my freezer, fridge, and pantry to see what I have on-hand already. but I know we ate!

The weeks that I take the time to plan the menu are the weeks that I have control over our spending. The weeks were I don’t menu plan are the weeks that I’m at the grocery store multiple times or we get take out multiple times, leading to an out of control grocery spending. Menu planning saves me time.

What I Spent I did get a Hungry Harvest box and I made a small trip to Aldi, but I haven’t done an honest-to-goodness grocery shopping trip since we got back from Hawaii! Monday I found a small package of ground beef in the freezer along with some homemade burger buns so…we had burgers for dinner, topped with Swiss cheese.

It's been forever since I've posted a menu plan. Thus, the weekly menu has not been what it ought to be. I notice I tend to desire to eat out more when the menu isn't planned, which in turn causes a higher cost in our food budget. That needs to get nipped in the bud! That needs to get nipped in the bud!

I am very familiar with the store, its pricing strategy, its setup, and how to save and stretch my grocery budget dollars.
