Financial Success: It’s Not Always About Your Income

I like travel. This means that after we take care of retirement and emergency fund contributions, and after everything else is taken care of, we have enough to do what we like. Living there would be a different animal altogether and it would take a much higher income to make do. We both like to eat out.

I have made a pact with myself that if I don’t already own something that I need, I will either: make do with what I have, find said item at a thrift store, borrow, or forget about it. I’m curious to see how much we can save and also how creative we can get by making do with what we already own or looking for things at a thrift store.
