After trying to extend credit to finance the vacation and we were denied (best thing to ever happen to us) we realized we made too much money to be living like this and something had to change. In the personal finance world, there’s a lot of discussion regarding “side hustles”, also known as extra income opportunities, side jobs, survival jobs, etc. Working a full time job in addition to cultivating a side hustle, along with everything else you do (working out, cultivating hobbies, raising a family, etc), is A LOT.

Do you want to spend time on your hobbies? Starting today, take charge of your finances. People will spend hours planning a one week’s vacation, but fail to put in time to plan their retirement years that could last decades. What are your hobbies? It took us two years of my husband working full-time at his job and then using every other second to work on the house. What are your hobbies? Drew works full time for Department of Defense. Farrah works part time for Department of Defense.
