I just can’t see the point in running it partially empty. I demonstrate making these things to my children and grandchildren, though, just to show that it can be done. We have plenty of glasses and cups and dishes and utensils to supply us that length of time. Cheap or frugal? I hate buying clothes new.

Grandchildren inherit but can’t get use of the money. Maybe you left a chuck of money to your ‘surviving grandchildren’ and they are not yet 18. Be sure and specify a final landing point if all beneficiaries pre-decease you. A beneficiary doesn’t have to accept an inheritance.
