Most of us are renters at some point in our lives, usually when we are first starting out – or perhaps in the seasons when our lives are changing. Years ago, we rented a unit in one of two quadruplex buildings owned by our landlord. The landlord also let me pick some of the seeded concord grapes growing up the hill.

One thing that I can say about single family homes on a larger lot is that they are a lot of work. We enjoy the yard work, gardening, and maintenance, all made easier because my fiancé is a carpenter, and my family is full of trades people. Condos are ultimately the least work. What type of home do you live in?
