If you have the temperament to become a landlord, you can purchase the home and then rent it out, earning money each month. Others want to buy a house as an income property.

In addition to an emergency fund, it is recommended that you have a reserve fund of at least 5% of the purchase price of the home in order to cover maintenance and upkeep. Just think – when the pipe breaks, you just call your landlord and you don’t have to deal with (or pay for it) yourself.
