WIS, WWA | under the weather

The Frugal Girl

What We Ate Saturday I remember that Zoe was at work, but I cannot for the life of me remember what I made for myself. Sunday It was Zoe’s actual birthday, but she had to work in the evening. Monday A friend treated me to tacos, and Zoe ate her leftover burrito. Something very basic, or I’d have remembered it.

WIS, WWA | getting into a groove

The Frugal Girl

And when Zoe got home from work, she had a frozen pizza. Tuesday We had too many leftovers in the fridge (happens in a jiffy with just two people!), so we worked on those. Wednesday I took some leftover ravioli out of the fridge, made an eyeballed Alfredo-style sauce, added in chopped kale, and mixed it all with the ravioli.

The Frugal Girl

My lunch leftovers were at least 25% better than the original dish. Wednesday Leftover chicken katsu, freshly fried, because I employed the trick of breading all the chicken but not frying all of it the first night. Two words we do not tend to use for leftover fried chicken!) I think Sonia and I got it all figured out, though.
