When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle.

You can even save a few plastic grocery bags and reuse them at your local farmer’s market or grocery store. Lunch Bags Plastic grocery bags also make great lunch bags for your kids or for you. Recycle If none of these circumstances apply to you, you can always recycle your grocery bags.

Chances are that at least some of the time you bring your own bagged lunch to work or to school. Sure, there are days when you go out for a nice meal with co-workers or pay for the school lunch on pizza day, but when I think back to my school days I fondly remember those brown paper bags. Below is a list of things I (or hubby) have personally saved and reused. Plastic containers from sliced lunch meat are great for leftover vegetable or casserole servings. Shopping bags are reused as carry alls for gifts and travel needs. Decorated bags (such as those you put gifts in) are just reused for gift giving.
