I thrifted items for my dad because he loves old books and coins. Finally, I found some clothing for my husband and son that was still new with the tag at the thrift store that they loved! That is when I decided to thrift all of my gifts this year for Christmas. Then I expanded to gift items for my mom.

You can defray some of your clothing costs by shopping for deals at used clothing stores or thrift stores. Even if you do not have any growing children, buying clothing at thrift stores is a great way to cut costs. Even small thrift stores can be overwhelming, and it is best to have a plan before you go.

We bought a lot of our son’s onesies and other items (including a crib) at a consignment shop. My son has already learned that he can get more bang for his book dollar if he buys used. Baby Items. Much of the time, baby clothes aren’t used harshly — especially newborn and early infant clothing. What do you think?

My son with one of our baby goats I remember for many years looking at any recipe that asked for more than one kind of cheese and rejecting it right away. For example, we’re very accustomed to buying anything we can second-hand at thrift stores, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace. There was no way I could afford that!

My favorite thrift store has a section dedicated to seasonal items. The number and variety of Halloween items in this thrift store surprised me. How this holiday has changed since I was a child in the 1950’s, and even since I raised my own sons in the 1970’s/80’s!
