Yep, I found a $20 bill last year on the beach! This money will go towards paying the actual medical bills from the injury. My husband drives a 2012 vehicle and in 2019 we got rid of a 2001 Honda Civic, which we bought new during my previous commuter life–pre-kids. Found Money in January: $1681. year-old van.

In September 2001, we bought a 1700 square foot home with a one-car garage and ONE full bathroom. We have thought about moving to a larger home with more space, but a smaller home means lower utility bills, homeowners’ insurance premiums, maintenance, and property taxes. Years ago, our cable bill doubled in price.

I menu planned consistently to keep our grocery bills under control. We’ve been in our home since September 2001. We limited our dinners out.

Our bills and responsibilities didn’t waiver however, even though our income dipped. We dramatically reduced our spending by cutting our cable TV and landline , shopping thrifty, eating out less often , and lowering our grocery bill. We bought our home in 2001. We made a lot of changes since 2013.
