Aside from a health concern with one of my daughters , 2017 was a great year, however, I was distracted by non-necessities, so my overall theme for 2018 is to use my time more wisely on the people and things that are important to me. This should cover my tentative 2019 Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018. In March, I added $70 in $1 bills that I had been setting aside for the past year. Last year, a friend of mine on Facebook shared that she saves $1 bills that have Federal Reserve letters that match the first letter of her kids’ names.

We ran the numbers of the purchase and they looked great on paper, but paper doesn’t account for a new server, a roof leak, unexpected medical bills, and other calamities. 2018 Update. Our Debt Freedom Plan (October 2019 Update): Exact numbers have been omitted at this time. We were trying to be responsible.

Our bills and responsibilities didn’t waiver however, even though our income dipped. We dramatically reduced our spending by cutting our cable TV and landline , shopping thrifty, eating out less often , and lowering our grocery bill. The student loan should be paid off by the end of 2018. We bought our home in 2001.
