In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018. Our 2018 Financial Goals: Finish our Will. Save $10k in a savings account, specifically earmarked for medical expenses. I almost stopped writing goals down altogether.

We generally don’t have a lot of medical bills–just the usual stuff like annual physicals, some blood work, and an occasional sick visit. I spent the next two hours on the phone with the doctors and with Medi-Share. How has Medi-Shared worked for us thru July: A breakdown of our medical bills through July 2017.

We hit our Annual Household Portion (think: deductible) with this medical event and our medical bills started to be paid by the other members’ shares. On the spreadsheet below, you’ll see that the December bills were quite high. A recap of our medical bills for 2017. Payment due to providers: $75,717.82.
