Our kids spent their first week of summer vacation at the beach with their Girl Scouts troop. The restaurant isn’t exactly kid-friendly and we were waiting for the right time to use. It was a week spent together without having to worry about getting our kids from one activity to the other. Date night!

2018 Update. Our 2019 Financial Goal. Happy New Year’s 2019: In January 2019, we were down to one final non-mortgage loan, so we created just one financial goal for the year—-to pay off that last non-mortgage debt by December. We can now move on to other financial goals.

After 20 years, I switched from Quicken software to You Need a Budget (YNAB) software in 2018 for our household. There’s a yearly fee and a learning curve, but I love YNAB and it helps me stay on budget and financially organized with our day-to-day checking and savings accounts. Update budgeting software on a regular basis.

Medi-Share Update: One Year Later

She’s a very active kid, and missed swim practice and meets, her holiday band and choral concert, Girl Scout meetings, and holiday parties. Our main financial goal for 2018 is to save $10k for our Annual Household Portion with Medi-Share. It would include an overnight stay at the hospital.
