In previous years, I would create a long list of financial goals, only to have little accomplished by the end of the December. I almost stopped writing goals down altogether. In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018.

Today is the final meeting of the 2019 Christmas Savings Club! . On the 25th of every month from January to November in 2019, I held a virtual meeting on the blog to give updates on our progress, motivate one another, and help all of us save for a cash Christmas. We ran the numbers of the purchase and they looked great on paper, but paper doesn’t account for a new server, a roof leak, unexpected medical bills, and other calamities. A lot of life happened over 7 years and our plan changed slightly, but our goal remains to achieve complete freedom from debt. Our 2019 Financial Goal.

So will 2019 be any different for me? My word for 2019 is REDUCE. Our main financial goal is to pay off our last non-mortgage loan. It was a goal in 2018, but high medical bills and other financial challenges hindered our progress. My plan is for 2019 to be different. In fact, I turn 50 in 2019.
