We made one big financial goal for 2019 and are striving and working hard to make progress. We started the year with a great January and made some progress with our goal, so to continue the momentum, I wanted to double down on our financial goal and be very mindful with our finances. New furniture wasn’t in the budget for this project, but we sold some other unused furniture in November and we now have enough to pay for the new furniture. The backstory: In November 2019, my van was in need of new tires and I was debating on whether to get the new tires or start looking for a replacement vehicle.

Something happens mentally when you WRITE down your goals and plans for execution. Number 4 was knocked out in 2019. We sent our very last payment to my husband’s student loan in September 2019, the same month I turned 50. Update: DONE Sept 2019!! DONE November 2019. I cried for two days–lol!

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. When that loan was paid off, we put that full amount towards the third loan and this continued until September 2019. We’re no spring chickens, so in November 2016, we started contributing again to our retirement.
